The ‘Air Squadron Fly In’  - 17 September 2010, RAF Northolt.  Ftr assoc biding for a Hurricane, Spitfire and Lancaster display plus a Typhoon; CAS and CinC likely attendees.  OC RAF Northolt may have additional ideas to include other RAF assets. This is an internal event likely small scale.

 

Battle of Britain musical event at RAF Woodvale - OC Liverpool UAS (Howard Carby) organising iaw the local council. Aligned with / curtain raiser for the Southport Airshow weekend. Official support from the RAF requested.

Display Season / Display teams

 

3.         It has been proposed that RAFAT (Red Arrows) / BBMF & Typhoon include a BofB 70th element, display and commentary for 2010 season, plus a BBMF & Typhoon Synchro to be considered for 6 of the 2010 display events.

 

4.         DMC RAF have managed to obtain loan of a full size replica Spitfire from IWMD, which is currently in the process of being converted into a representative MkII Spitfire from the BofB period. It is planned for the Spitfire to be used for engagement purposes at a variety of events (alongside the RAF family) across the UK during the BofB summer period. Bids for this asset for high profile locations welcomed / under research.

 

Media & Marketing

 

5.         A Logo and strapline has been produced and distributed in order to provide a consistent theme across all products & events. A wide variety of branded marketing products are under consideration / production.

 

6.         Quality Photo Media – Getty have agreed to liaise with BBMF and make available Quality Photographic products for the Media

             

7.         TV & radio programmes – Multiple in train
